Bio: After a PhD at the Liph Lab of the University of Padova in Italy, Chiara joined the EPIcx Lab as a postdoc in 2009. She was located first at ISI Foundation in Torino (Italy) and then at the IPLESP in Paris. In October 2015 she became permanent researcher at IPLESP. Since November 2022 Chiara has started a position as associate professor at the Department of Molecular Medicine of the University of Padova.

Research activities: Since 2009 Chiara works in the field of network epidemiology and computational epidemiology, with special attention to outbreak analysis, emerging diseases (MERS, Ebola, Chikungunya, Zika, COVID-19) and multi-pathogen/multi-strain interaction.

Honours and awards: Program Emergence(s) de la Ville de Paris 2019, junior scientific award of the complex system society in 2015, invitation in the contest of the Young Scientist Program to co-chair the session of Mathematical Modelling at the 5th ESWI (European Scientific Working group on Influenza) Conference 2014.

Academic services: Academic editor of PLOS ONE, editor of PLOS Complex Complexity Channel (2015-2020), elected member of the council of the Complex Systems Society (2015-2020), elected member of the steering committee of the Conference on Complex Systems (2015-2020)

Teaching: Chiara teaches the courses Life Data Epidemiology of the Master Physics of Data and Physics with Applications to Biological Systems of the first-cycle degree in Biology of Human and Environmental Health.
