ICPS 2017 XXXII International Conference of Physics Students

I have been an organizer of ICPS 2017, held in Torino, Italy, from Aug 7 to Aug 14. ICPS is the annual conference of IAPS (International Association of Physics Students). Through a journey lasted 2 years, and within the Italian Association of Physics Students (AISF), we organized this amazing event gathering 400+ students from 45 countries in the World. We set up a scientific program consisting of seven guest lectures by renowned physicists from various fields, 200+ student contributions, lab visits and workshops. Alongside this, we provided full accommodation, seven socials and parties, and excursions, for a total budget of ~180k euros, coming from public as well as private sector supporters.
Among my duties within the Organizing Committee, I collaborated to the participant selection process, specifically in selecting students from developing countries, managing their financial coverage, and their visa application processes. I took care of developing the IT infrastructure needed (mainly mySQL database and frontend interaction in PHP), and of the whole graphic and design development.
